A solar eclipse occurs when the moon gets between Earth and the sun, and the moon casts a shadow over the earth. A solar eclipse can only take place at the phase of new moon, when the moon passes directly between the sun and Earth and its shadows fall upon Earth’s surface.
Next Monday, while you’re watching the total #SolarEclipse (first occurrence since 1918), make sure you’re protecting your eyes!
Never look at the sun with the naked eye and even so, regular sunglasses are not approved for this type of viewing.
At #MEC, we have certified #ISO standard glasses for #safe viewing! Visit our office to get your pair of #EclipseGlasses this week!
