The American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, define eyecare Co-Management as ‘the sharing of preoperative and postoperative responsibilities between the operating surgeon and another healthcare provider. It is a common practice in many medical specialties and is recognized by Medicare and private insurance carriers.’
